Thank you to all APPLES for Children dedicated Volunteers! Because of your hard work, APPLES continues to offer a wide variety of services, including workshops, conferences, and special events. We appreciate and value your support.

More and more child care providers are pursuing the Maryland Child Care Credential and obtaining Professional Activity Units (PAUs) by volunteering for APPLES. Six hours of volunteer time gives One PAU and twelve hours of volunteer time gives Two PAUs.

The 31st Annual Run Through History 10K Race at Antietam National Battlefield, will be run as always on the first Sunday in June – June 5, 2011.  All proceeds from the event go to two local Western Maryland children’s organizations: APPLES for Children and Head Start of Washington County.  Additional information, including race registration forms, and ways that you or your organization might contribute to the overall success of this event is available at runthroughhistory.org
